Tried a new Fairfax saddle this week, very smart. Fitted the round cob very nicely on the whole.
This saddle was new and not a demonstrator, so I couldn't give it a full test ride for fear of marking the leather. Now, the horse seemed to like it but I felt so far off his back. There's a lot of padding, both for him in the panels and for the rider in the seat.
So, for those who own one, did it soften and mould down much? Or would I always feel as though I was floating above him?
