Hi!

I was just wondering if anyone has Ariat Terrain boots & wondering if they stretch at all?

I've ordered 2 pairs to try as I can be inbetween sizes & I know Ariat boots can run big.

Both fit, but it's just a question of how much I can expect them give through wear ... I've not had a pair before you see.

I've had a couple of pairs of Tellurides and they seemed pretty standard in size to me. Didnt really stretch in the foot just softened around the ankle..... but they were comfy from the get-go.

The terrains give a little but not masses as they have that plastic'y bit at the toe. I wear a 7 in almost all shoes unless they are sling backs then I can get away with a 6, I have terrains in both 6 (I ordered the wrong size from the states) and 7, I do prefer the 7 as I can wear slightly thicker socks.

I find Ariats run big but it varies a lot. My long boots were a good fit in a US 7, UK 5 - I normally wear a 5.5. My short boots are a US 6.5, allegedly tiny but they fit well too. I don't find they have given much in the foot.

Thanks guys :)

They are a birthday present for me, but my my Mum has solved the problem! We are both normally a size 5 & Mum decided to try them on for the fun of it but she found them so comfortable we'll keep both & semi-share so I can use the 5 in winter with a thicker pair of socks & 4.5 in summer with a thin pair of socks :D

Obviously, if anyone asks, I sent one pair back ... :D

I've just bought them in the Naylor's sale (bargain!) I have one foot that is a 5 and one that is 5.5 and they are a lovely comfy fit in the 5.

Yes, I got mine in the Wychanger sale! At £60 (or in our case, £120 for two pairs ...!) they were a great price.

I frequently like to remind people how lucky they are I've a January birthday so they can buy presents in the sale :D

They're really nice aren't they? I had Naylors vouchers for Christmas so very happy with these! Wore them for mucking out and walking the dogs earlier and had lovely toasty feet in the snow!

It isnt that they run big but that the conversion of USA sizes to EU and UK sizes seems to vary between brands.
Aryat fit me well - I have narrow heels and broad, spread out toes so I need room at the front. Their conversion label looks the same as Mountain Horse which also fit me in the same size. All say 9 USA is 6.5 UK But my New Balance trainers I need to be a size bigger and the mark is 7.
I wear my Aryats in a wide range of climates in USA - from very hot to through snow (we didnt expect snow!) but always with a walking sock - walking boots are not designed to be worn with thin socks.
They are among my favourites now but my first walk in them in Warwickshire years ago I hated - so tho they dont stretch they will soften and mold to your foot. Riding boots dont need to be flexible but if you are walking a long way, it does make a difference to wear a boot in.
