Mrs P came 2nd with a shade under 64% & there were about 30 in the class!! What went right? Separation anxiety :o As soon as her wagon companion went in to do his test she went all stressy and turned into a baroque dressage hoss, somehow we managed to sustain this until the end of the test. She was fab! I tried to sabotage it with an error of course (cantered when I should have been walking on a loose rein) but it didn't matter. 2nd test wasn't quite so good because the baroqueness had worn off and I messed up a couple of moves (managed to fit 2 of the 3 loops of my serpentine into half the school, forgot to walk at C which resulted in falling in a heap, and overshot the centre line horribly at the finish) but she still went nicely, got a decent score (a shade under 61%) and narrowly missed a ribbon.

Pix!

Warming up

I have discovered that waving my arms about and asking her to gallop up the long sides in the warm up is a good way to get her in the mood!

We had 3 hours to wait between tests, so Mrs P had some green slop

And I got bored & plaited her! Here she is kissing her travelling buddy.

No never snogged him

Vid of my inaccurate serpentine in test 2, and you can see her nebbing at the exit!

Well done - can't watch the vid *sniff* she looks like shes really coming into her own! Loving the plaits ;)

Well done, and great pics!

You'll need a new way to create 'baroque hoss' when she one day decides she can no longer be bothered with seperation anxiety :D

I've often wondered who actually won those competitions with so many entrants, now I know :D Fantastic job, and all your own work, onwards and upwards

Thanks guys, bless her, she's such a star and I'm very lucky to have her. She thought we hadn't seen her snogging but little did she know - TART :D

Hmmmm might be a challenge - earthquake perhaps? :o

I love the snogging pic, very cute. I had a great day, thanks for the lift :) I was shattered though, in bed at half 9 last night!

Shame I missed seeing your tests but the vid looked lovely. Your placing in P12 was great. I didn't know your mark for the 2nd test, great result to get into the 60s for both.

No idea where we ended up but we weren't last, so that's good!

Yes I was a bit gutted that I missed seeing you go but I thought having Mrs P's head sticking through the gate to the school might be a bit of a distraction, especially given how shouty she was being! He looked really good in the warmup though :) And weren't they so well behaved together! They make a really good team

Ooooh better watch out, there's a bit of competition coming our way! :D Well done Raingodz & Bea  Here's the latter stages of our second test with shouty hoss & rubbish fidgety halt. Norty Mrs P!

I don't know, he might have liked it. They definitely get on really well, it was a real pleasure having two such well behaved horses, you'd think they went out and about together all the time.

Oaks and I got an 8 for our last halt. Quite impressed by that but have a suspicion it was only because Oakley would have given anything to stop by that point :D
