Can anyone advise on the best place to sell a semi-flex dressage saddle? It's in excellent condition (had it less than a year) so not sure if it's suitable for ebay.

You never get the true worth from ebay, well, very rarely anyway.

You could contact your local saddler see if they want to buy it from you?

Otherwise, put it on the swap shop on here and see if anyone wants to buy it

if it is a sought after make and you put a reserve on there, ebay is a great place to sell saddles.I brought one on there for £250 and sold it a few weeks later for over £300. However it is only a good place to sell if you have good feedback ideally as both a buyer and a seller, otherwise it is hard to get the price you want as people are reluctant to buy from new sellers due to the amount of dodgy characters and scammers out there.

I've always got what I wanted from eBay when I've sold saddles. I don't use the auction just Buy It Now that way you can get the price you want. Depends what your asking price is though.

Thanks all. Having looked on ebay I think my starting price will be too high - had it just under a year and cost almost 2k new.... The other high-end saddles on ebay had no bids when I last looked.
Thanks for the specialist saddle link M, think I'll contact them and see if they might be interested.

I know they sell well on there Portia because I was interested in having one or two on trial and they had both been sold. I know a semi-flex was sold recently on there for about £1300.

I bought a lovely Wow saddle on ebay for my daughter but she hates it so sadly it will be for sale again.
I was horrified when I looked in the cost involved if you sell on ebay these days! I think I will advertise it on horsemart or in the adtrader first.

They have got pricey I agree! Have recently had a good clear out and sold quite a few bits and pieces on OH's a/c (he uses it a lot for renovating the MG so has a good 'reputation'), was really surprised at the charges, always thought it was pretty much free!
