Bit Help Please

I have a problem with bits at the moment. My horse was in a 5 1/2" which was small for him you could see clearly it was too short for him so i went to buy a 6". However now I have the problem where the bit is slightly big. I'd rather have it big then too small but i don't know what to do which it.

He is comfortable in it which was my main concern but he's okay.

I'd prefer a little big to a little small too, Could you add biscuits to take up a little slack? Can you not buy 5.75"? All mine have been 5.5" or below so no idea

Jessey is right, she has said exactly what I'd of suggested too and probably others will agree too. x

I would probably get the 5 3/4 and send the 6 back.
The mouth is so sensitive that any unnecessary movement from one being too big can bruise or irritate.

We are 5 1/4 in the current bit but we're 5.5" in a different type.
