I can't find the analysis :frown:
Also grazeon or readigrass (yes, i know there's a shortage), and an alternative to happy hoof as my horse hates it... have you ever heard of a fussy Cob? Well I have one..

It usually says on the back of the packet. Or the web sites often have the details. Contact them if necessary.

Hay wise, I would be inclined to buy in some good quality meadow hay and soak it well. You can usually buy it a few bales at a time from a good feed merchant.

Ask the vet when you see them about what else to feed.

Happy hoof is still quite rich I think. Might be better to go for Dengie Hi fi, good doer or molasses free.

Keep it as simple as possible until you have a proper diagnoses. You can then add a supplement at a later date to help boost the immune system if necessary.

I use dengi hi fi molasses free in favour of happy hoof now.
As Tina suggests I would talk to your vet about things to use/not use then ring the feed company to find out more.
Good soaked hay is great though like Tina says.

I'd stay clear of Grazeon/Readigrass with a laminitic, to be honest (not sure which of yours you're asking for). Safe and Sound is similar to Happy Hoof, molasses free Alfalfa is quite good too (that's what mine get at the moment as they won't touch any of the 'hi-fis' ....) as are the various 'hi fis'

The question is, what are you feeding for?

A token because everyone else is - then some plain hay chop - halleys which is delivered to door, dengie mollases free, mollichop mollases free, top chop lite... The list goes on.

For condition, then as above but with an unmollased beet or micronised linseed.

To be honest though, I would be either stopping the feed altogether or not changing it at all... And I'm fairly sure it would be the first. I would be feeding hay only and it would just be tough if she didn't eat any buckets given. I wouldn't be dabbling with any hay replacers ( graze on or horsehage) I wouldn't even be feeding haylage if i could help it due to the fermentation of it which could upset the gut. I would be removing everything that could upset the gut.

As a note for grass products, interestingly madam can tolerate grass nuts - no idea why! She has a handful of halleys chop with a splatter of liquid grass nuts ( make it very runny).

I feed fast fibre and nothing else, just a small token for her moody moaning mare supp to go in.
Our supplier has run out of hay so haylage goes out, confession I hate the stuff, but on a yard that's all we have.
Not fed what your asking about, have used that chaff with fenugreek in it-dengie I think.

I won't touch happy hoof with a barge pole, couldn't believe the molasses in it.

We feed Happy Hoof to all 4 of ours 24/7 365 as all are managed on restricted/rotated, Hay only in winter if needed or in together with their suppliments (GH Lammiprone and easy joint for the old lady). we move to HH after the lammi episode, he was on Hi fi Lite and lo-cal balance when he had his, taken off it completely during active period and then onto HH, have had no issue with it whatsoever and put the other 3 on it again no problems.

It seems some tolerate it better than others.

if its just a balancer you are looking for then might be worth trying the Lo-Cal pellets with Hi Fi Lite if looking for a bit more. I don't think it had anything to do with our Lammi and know others who use it on Lammi prone with no issues.

We don't use haylage on Vets advice, ours are all native ponies and if we give them anything then Hay (and not the rich stuff either), just good clean hay as dust free as possible, any dust and we soak.
