carrot tops?

my son in law has a veg distribution business and he offered me all the carrot tops and swede peelings I can use, so my question is, should I use them and if so how much do I give?
I have jesse a 3/4 tb yearling and' L ' a tb 4yo .Jesse is on 3kg of foal and yearling mix a day given in 2 meals and 'L' is on 4kg fed the same and ad lib hay for them both.'L'just does light hackinga few times a week.

No one seems to have much to say on this one P..........I'd be inclined not to feed such things to my horses, mainly out of concerns regarding the wilting process before they're fed, and incase of complications from impaction colic, or gaseous build up in the gut.

if they are fed straight away i would, but not if they were left before hand
