I have been looking into these two:

I am hoping that a fly mask will help Dolly with her allergies. I want something that will filter out some of the UV rays, dust and pollen. Which fly mask do you think be better for her?

With shipping, the Equilibrium fly mask will cost me about double (if not more) what the Cashel fly mask will cost me.

I have the equilibrium max one, I though it was nice and fitted pretty well, but after a while of my horses wearing it 24/7 (after a few weeks) it rubbed a bit round the nose/jaw - I tried it on all 3 of mine and all have very different head shapes.

I didn't thinkt he equilibrium one filtered pollen/dust - it doesn't mention it on the web site, just bugs and UV filter :o field relief max fly mask

Though I found this blurb on their web page -
The equal success of half nets (that just cover the top line of the muzzle) suggest that nose nets do not actively filter out pollens - the holes are just too big! They may work by distorting the airflow to the nose

I'm a Cashel fan. I have used them for 2 years (the coming summer will be the 3rd year). I have tried others when madam has trashed the ears in the bushes (the rest of it is pretty indistructable), but they rubbed her and the Cashel never has.

I don't know for sure about the pollen and dust (I know it filters UV and keep flies off), but I would think it would to some extent. My mare is bothered by flies, sunlight and probably pollen and she is always happy and relaxed in the Cashel Mask. In addition to the field mask, she also wears the Cashel Quiet Ride from late spring through autumn and its fantastic. No more rides out where she chucks her head around so much that she nearly falls over
