I was just wondering if someone could tell me what the difference between Dengie Hi-Fi Lite and Alpha-A Lite is? I understand that Alpha-A is pure alfalfa, so what is Hi-Fi? and what are the pros and cons of feeding each?
hifi is an alfafa mix withsoft straw if i am correct like most chaffs.
I prefer alpha a for the energy level in it as I can give him more before a show or comp and he has extra staying power nut he is not psyco like he would be if i was upping his cubes.
Some horses are sensitive to pure alfalfa so i does send some horses nutty.
kia wont eat the hifi he is such a fussy b*gger tho!!!
yep, hi-fi lite is a blend of oat straw and alfalfa with a low sugar coating. Alfa-a is purely alfalfa (you get the regular alfa-a with molassed coating and alfa-a lite with the low sugar coating). What you use is down to your requirements and your horse. Alfa-a sends mine absolutely loopy so we stick with hi-fi lite
