Never owned one but possibly will be owning one shortly. Just wondered if due to their pink skin if they get burnt easily and if they are more prone to fly bites and things?
Or anything I need to be aware of?

Hmm we had one in Italy. She was in a fly rug and hood when turned out which was fine but when ridden we had to watch out she didn't burn. She was fab at hacking so we used her a lot for trail rides... got through an awful lot of suncream on day rides!

Mouse isn't cremello but pale palomino still with lots of pink skin. He is photosensitive and loses the hair on his ears / head / face if he's exposed to bright light (not necessarily sunlight) for too long. He can't stay in the field unprotected even with suncream.

I wouldn't ever have one again. You have to be so careful with sunlight or even just good old winter daylight. Fully rugged and masked almost 24/7 is about the only sure way of avoiding skin and eye problems. Far too high maintenance sadly. :(

They do - and it is more the very delicate pale pink skin around their eyes, and often they have little or no hair to protect the area....if that gets too much sunlight then you can have very serious consequences with tumours etc, literally skin cancer as we know it.:(
