I'm guessing it will be different for many of us as we live in different areas of the uk and abroad. Summer was such a non event here and I am already feeling a bit wintery! I am charging up the lights for outside every morning now, its a habit I get into but not normally this soon. But the days have seemed darker here, probably down to all the rain so I've needed them sooner than expected.
I'm also putting in a small amount of hay for the terrible two as there is no shelter in their field and when its torrential and blowing a gale they do come back up the yard. I like them to have something to munch on. So, over to you - are you doing anything sooner this season? Or about the same? And how are things regarding hay / haylege, ie is it going to be hard to get due to the extreme heat you had in the south?
 
Yes sooner. I wouldn't usually be wanting to graze where I am until October. But as you say with the summer we've had, plus it was my first summer with the two of them, we've had to move paddocks two weeks ago.
It has all of a sudden drawn in dark that going out with her in the evenings is knocked on the head. Though I have got super sunset photos of her but I have learnt to leave her in the field to get them!!

It's still mild here that I haven't changed out of my shorts yet but have added a jumper or jacket on top of it's windy or wet. I just get too warm at this time of year.

No idea on the hay situation as she has the alternatives to it.
 
Not changed anything yet. But getting caught out on animal checks with the shorter days. Desperate to sell some sheep to reduce the chores but they ain't grown enough due to the drought.
Still having the ewes but ive cut them to half a bale a day as they are wasting a whole bale. Grass is coming through in there paddock but it ain't great.
 
The grass has recovered well here, they aren't on it anymore until next year.
There it's still a bald patch that always seems to be a bald patch and we are no where near that either.
