On an island
Went to collect our new kitchen for the guest apartment this afternoon. Dropped a worktop side on my foot. I cried lots. It bled and turned blue almost immediately. It really hurts and I've got a bag of ice on it and germoline on the cuts. Feeling very sore and sorry. That is the last time I ever wear sandals. Wouldn't have damaged it so badly in my usual horse boots as they do offer some protection.
Mr T is so busy but is trying to help with the girls but I hate lying on the bed and feel trapped so I've hobbled out and skipped out and they are in their field until later. Dam accidents. I can do without this.

Ouch! That looks extremely painful. How unfortunate to do something like this when you aren't anywhere near a horse - typical isn't it!:( Lots of healing vibes. xx

Thanks all. I am a moaner! lol Mr T is being very kind to me as I'm sat here wimpering:(
Doesn't being sore with something like this make you realise how much we take being able to move about for granted?! I really will be glad to get back to normal movement.

I would be tempted to get it checked trews - to change colour that rapidly along with swelling may indicate a break or few if it landed on your toes :( they might not be able to do much but at least if not aligned they can set them xx

Ooh, ouchie, that second toe could well be busted. How's the pain now? Are we talking unbearable or settling a bit? I've busted three toes over the years and never had them x-rayed. Yes, I can understand that sometimes they misalign, but your toe doesn't look wonky. The NHS won't strap up toes anyway. Sometimes you can put a strip of lint between them and strap it to another toe but it depends how black it goes. Is it still that bruised colour or has it gone black now? That would indicate a fracture....

Pain is bearable but rather wearying - nagging almost. The ice really helps. Toes just looking reddy purple. I feel so helpless sat here, I'm itching to go and fill hay nets and do my other chores but when I get up and walk its so sore I sit down again.

Poor you - but if you have to be in pain, make sure you enjoy your sitting down! Won't last for long!

Just been to say goodnight to the girls - thank goodness we are only a few steps away here in the caravan and not round at the house. Really hoping to be sorted by the morning - I hate being lame!!

Argh feet!!!

That looks very sore. I went to the hospital when I thought I'd broken two toes (a big horse spooked and jumped on me and I was wearing flimsy wellies). The hospital didn't bother x-raying them but said it seemed like I had broken them but there isn't much they can do. They'll only bother interfering if it is your big toe. I ended up strapping them up myself and that seemed to help. I hope it recovers quickly!
