Endurance riding

what is good tack to have for endurance riding?

Any tack is acceptable, from treeless saddles and bitless bridles to treeded saddles and bitted bridles. Endurance is more laid back in the rules, as is LeTrec.

Any tack is 'good tack' as long as it is comfortable for horse and rider over long distances. Preferabley a light weight saddle would be best and one with lots of 'D' rings for saddle bags etc.

I believe Wally did endurance, she's be best to ask I think...

when i did endurance (just the lower distance PRs) I used to wear my ordinary tach, which was fairly light-weight, but with a girth sleeve on the saddle. I would definatley recommend gettin a synthetic bridle though, as when we were cooling down at the end of rides my reins would always get all wet and stiff! eugh. Libbys do lovely endurance bridles in lots of colours (mines brigh aqua blue!)

Any tack is allowed as long as it fits the horse properly and it'll be comfortable to ride long distances in.

Endurance bridles are really good because they are a halter as well and the plastic coating means they don't wear as much from sweat, rain etc.
