On the South Downs, Hampshire
Well this morning was truly beautiful and warm like Spring. I went for a wonderful 2 hr hack with a friend on Tally and we had a great time. I managed to take a few pics on route, but Belle wanders into a hedge if I try and ride with one hand... Anyway, here you go

Spring is nearly here!

Hope everyone else managed to get out today:)

Lovely pictures, lucky you. Its all grey and grim here still, not at all springlike !. I have warned my hairy pair of cobs that they WILL be ridden this year (they have had three years off )

Fab pics! So glad you had such a good ride. Am hoping to have a sit on madam when I finish work around 4pm today - we're not hacking at the moment (various reasons) and she's still having her bucking fits (nowt wrong with back, teeth etc, all checked other week). I can't wait for the summer then she can go out with Joe again (and hopefully chill!). Your hack looked lovely tho - really springy!

Thank you guys for your nice comments. Palmerlover52, you're not so far away from me are you ?- you should join me!

It really was a beautiful morning and after the wood we road back into my pretty home village and then round the windy back roads home. I was really pleased with Belle as she didn't leap about once and did some wonderful steady but fast canters on a light rein, absolutley fantastic (you can tell I'm pleased...:D)

Tally is a lovely pony, but given half a chance he will go flat out trying to prove he's faster than Belle (my friend rides him very nicely, but he's a bit challenging), but he's great in traffic and rarely shys...and never seems to get tired.

Wow, wonderful pics!!! :) I'm not remotely jealous. No. Not at all. Not in the slightest:o

:D

I was out on blue this morning, it was lovely ( the weather, not Blue !!)
both the guys had their rugs off for the day.
Your part of the south downs looks so similar to mine, could almost be parts of the same ride.

I have to admit that would be a dream. I blame Old Woman for that one with her tales of being a dirty little stop out! Very inspiring

I have camped and walked the South Downs Way, but I always wanted to ride it. It was my dream for years. I'd be quite happy to ride Tally along it as he's so easy to handle /tie up etc. But I'm going to take that path to see you for our picnic in the summer!
