I have had to stop giving Etta her Pro Feet, as quite frankly it stinks & she won't go near anything that has a faint whiff of it

My farrier has suggested Formula 4 Feet, but a lot of other people say Farriers Formula is better.

What are your views?

Thanks

HH :D :D

I alternate between those two and Cornucrescine Daily Hoof Supplement (more expensive ) as farrier said they all have slightly different ingredients and it makes them more effective (stops the body getting used to it ). Not sure how true that is but I do it anyway :D sometimes splash out on the Cornucrescine which has to be ordered, then the next month will just get a refill pack of Farriers!

Can bring you a bit to see if she will eat it if you like?

I like Formula 4 Feet, I compared ingredients when I was looking for a hoof supplement for fatty a couple of years ago and F4F was much better. I've been feeding Bailey's LoCal balancer recently instead and its working out cheaper and feet are just as good as on F4F.

Have heard good things about Equimins Hoof Mender but haven't tried it myself yet..

I've been using Hoof Mender for a couple of months now and I'm pleased with the results so far :)

F4F 4 me 2 - sorry text speak:rolleyes:

I have to say though that I haven't tried the others. Also, as well as improving his feet, Adam skin is far less itchy since I've used it, he used to be a nightmare in the winter when he has rugs on most of the time.

Lizzy,

According to Ginger Thing they are all pellet/pony nut type things that all smell the same, so i guess if she'll eat 1 sort she'll eat them all (i hope :o)

I used Farriers Formula on my Haffie, but have heard great things about F4F and think it has more active ingredient so woudl def consider that. My Haffie needed it when we started ridden hacking as the roads started to make her feet a bit sore.

Its done the trick but now feet are in good shape I am risking moving her onto Healthy Hooves as her complete feed as she was getting about 4 different feeds and for a good doer native thats way too complex now shes 41/2!:D I'll see how it goes tho, if she needs to she'll go back on FF or F4F

See, that was my plan with Etta. Get the Pro Feet to do the hard work & then put her on Healthy Hooves.

At the mo, she's gettin Safe & Sound & a tiny bit of pasture mix (bought to hide the taste of Pro feet), but the S & S doesn't have enough goodies in it for me to feed her hooves.

PS lachlanandmarcu My flight's booked!!!
