I'm so sorry.
Sometimes folk prefer to start that journey alone, have sat with enough to see them hold on for their loved ones and then quietly drift away in between.
Doesn't make it easier for us though

It's not just all terrible, I had the ambulance out on NYE, since then he went downhill and suffering started.
Death I can deal with Suffering is something I am not good at. He was quite happy in his chair when I left him, when I got back he'd been gone for a while. Spent a while checking for vital signs......nah, he was well away.

A peaceful passing is something we all wish for our loved ones and should always be grateful for. Sorry for your loss.
Sorry to hear of your loss but empathise wth the relief of an end to any suffering.

I lost my beloved gran on new years day. Although deeply upset, im so happy as shes no longer suffering like she had over the last 6 months. xxx
