I have ridden everyday this week and Pedro is just being a star! He definatly benifits from more work and less days off! Yesterday we went out for about an hour and half, started on the disused railway line to get some trotting in to settle his brain and then up to the canter path. I've never felt all that comfortable cantering P, always kept a hold and kept it sedate but yesterday I was so looking forward to going for a blast! And so was he! Had to trot a bit first as he got a bit racey and I like him to be settle in trot before we canter, but as soon as he settled I asked him to canter and off he shot! And I just took a forward seat and let him go!
I think I may become a speed demon!
Here are a couple pics from when we got to the top of the canter path
Enjoying the view
Looking back across the city (grassy track we walked up, some people canter it too but it's quite boggy and the farmer goes mad if he catches you cantering!)
Pretty ears
