Had a lovely ride today, out alone with Ella in the great wide yonder with nice weather and a relaxed, compliant horse. Only an hour and no canter, no pressure to go anywhere or do anything.
I have deliberately taken it slowly, step by step, since falling off in January. I am not magic nor brave. I rode near the yard solo, then with YM a longer hack last week and today on my own.
I was helped by meeting Ella out with another sharer on Sunday. Ella looked so sleepy and relaxed and normal that I realised how silly it was of me to worry. So a long rein today and back to that childhood Pony book fantasy.
