Grazing lieance? Meaning & metered water how much do you use?

Can anyone help desperately trying to find a field have found one & want to put up my movable stables 3 & a small shed landowner said he needs to check the licence? I've search on Google can't find anything about these licences can anyone please tell me more about them?
Also he said water is metered? Never had this before it's always been included in the price how much roughly does everyone use £££ I no it's different depending but want a sort of idea! 2 ponies & 1 horse

Thank you I've read it the bit what's confusing me is I am renting will be paying month by month basis (not agreed moving in yet!) I can't seem to find anything re movable stables limits

From eml's link, a grazing licence is only a grazing licence if the owner does all maintenance, as soon as you start building/fixing anything it can become a tenancy which puts it under very different rules, he may not want to offer a tenancy, only a grazing licence.

Aww ok that will make more sense!
We agreed I'll pay X amount monthly
I'll maintain/fix fencing
Pull rag weeds etc.. as you normally do
Doesn't these both come under tenant not licence ?
However I must have stables as my gelding won't take to living out doesn't do well at all! He said I need to check the terms of the licence now I'm so so confused never been anywhere what's had a licence!

I need somewhere what's permanent! He said it is I found on Google licences are short term? Upto 2 years
