I had such a good lesson this morning! I was riding a horse I hadn't ridden before but for some reason we really clicked - I felt like he was really concentrating and trying hard, and I learned how to do travers! I'm happy
I don't know whether I'll have the same horse again - I won't be riding at that riding stables for a while as I'm going home next week for Easter but I'm planning to ask to ride him again next term.
Travers seems to be... (please correct me if I'm wrong as I've only just learnt it so I'm not an expert!) moving laterally along the long side of the school with the hindquarters pointing inwards and the bend in the direction of the movement.
