Hi All, I'm looking to get some padding for my poor seat bones and a bit of extra grip in the saddle. Does anyone have experience of these two brands? and which would you recommend please!
Thanks

Never had either but have a friend who swears by the acavallo gel out one. I think Cortrasna on here has one too, I'm sure people who have used either or will be along soon. :-)

I had the western HM one and it was very comfortable and secure, being suede both sides it gripped the saddle and my bum, my only comment is it made my saddle ride a little smaller but I expect thats less noticable in an English saddle.

I've tried both but wasn't that impressed by either for extra padding. Although I'm told that Acavallo make a "comfort" one too which is even more padded than their standard one so that might be worth a try.....

My Acavallo has kept me safely in the saddle on more than one hair raising moment! Thoroughly recommend them and the comfort level is great too. :)

I've had both. I used to always use my HM for every ride. They're very comfy and well padded, but very thick and take a lot of getting used to! I felt perched at first.

Then I invested in *coughs* two (!) acavallo seat savers. Both gel out, one standard and one comfort ride. I LOVE these. I have one on both my GP saddles. Had my dressage saddle fitted my 4yo I would've invested in a black one too. They come up a lot on eBay cheaper than full price. They're less chunky than the HM ones, but just as comfy. I do everything in mine. Definitely worth every penny.

I've sold all but one of my HM ones now, and I'm planning on selling the last one (kept it in case the acavallo didn't fit on my treeless).
