Heavyweight cobs

Nelly is only 4yo.
so when he is fully matured at approx 7/8yo,when he has bulked up (not fat)
He will then be a very nice show cob indeed.Having 10.5" bone and being of correct height,with fab markings and great confirmation to grow into .
I personally love the coloureds and the fact that they get to keep their feathers,Nelly had amazing feathers that got commented on at every show,but he is not marked well enough to compete in coloured classes (he only has a huge white splash under his belly)
The "show cob" classes are split into two different classes "lightweight" and "heavyweight" ,as in the link LL posted,it even says that.
CF ive no idea on the usual breeding of these types,i suppose it must be a bit of pot luck,with the height stipulations
I suppose we will see how good a "show cob" he turns out as he matures and gets older.

i just wanted to add,that everytime i see him,he changes shape,from the neck,whithers ,girth,bum everywhere,i am curious at what he will eventually end up,all i do know is he is going to get very very wide indeed!!

this is the best horse ive ever owned lol shes a 16h shire cob and ive had her for two years now and were like best friends. She is 22 yrs old and i took her to her first ever show this time. she won 1st in veteran, 2nd in coloured, 3rd in cobs, and 5th in showing. We also got offered £3000 for her (i said no straight away) hope ya like her. were going for ridden shows next year as she loves a good jump but we need to neaten it up lol shes very ungraceful for a mare lol.

I didn't hog him though as he was over height at almost 15.3hh but he has 10 1/2" of bone Didn't really do much showing with him and when i did it was novice ridden, cob classes at local shows where I plaited him and riding club and he was never out of ther ribbons
