Hiring a school

I have somebody who wants to use my school for flatwork and viewings. What would be an acceptable amount to charge do you think? It is something like 40 by 60 and is okay but nothing special!

I think it depends where you are, I used to pay a fiver to school after 7pm in an indoor in Norfolk as all the liveries at that yard were gone by then, for an outdoor in Herts a tenner.

Around here in Surrey £5 an hour is good value for a decent outdoor school, £10 for an indoor

Just be careful you have the right insurance cover. We found it cost us more to cover our schools for outside use then we could ever earn!

we have varying rates around here. £10phr for a small indoor up to £25 phr for a very large indoor. £5 for a 40x60 brand new outdoor up to about £15phr for bigger competition school hire

Outdoor schools vary between £10 and £20 an hour. One big indoor school charges £35 for an hour.

Indoor is £16p/h for up to 2 horse.
£10p/h at an out door, it use to be for one horse.

Thanks for your answers, I think I might go for five pounds a go or ten pounds if she wants sole use? Do you think that sounds reasonable?
