Hi

I really want to show dylan this year and have never done this before so have no clue what classes we can go in.

He is 14.3/15h MW cob with no mane or feathers at the moment. He is slightly bum high so will this affect us?

I just want to show my boy off and am not fussed about winning, would just like a rossette for us (what ever colour).

Ive got a black jacket, do I need to get a hacking jacket instead?

Hat wise... do I need to put a velvet silk on it?

Ive also got a darmoor? / welsh X? (he looks like he could be either) 13h that I would like to show in hand and have no idea which class he could be entered into.

Any advise, greatly appreciated.

the cob sounds sweet, being bum high shouldnt effect much at local level unless its extreme :)
Yes, tweed jacket with shirt & tie, & navy velvet silk for you :)

your little 13hh X will need to be plaited and trimmed, can do things like best condition, best turned out, family pony, maybe hunter pony?

Post some piccies :D

How old is he? Not sure whether you are interested in ridden or in hand classes. Some shows have ridden and in hand cob classes (our local club has ridden cob but not in hand cob). You could also do best turned out, best condition, riding club horse / pony (if he jumps), and equitation.

For local level a black jacket should be fine, although tweed is more correct for cob classes. It's probably worth going to a couple of shows first before you go out on a spending spree, just to make sure you like it.

This is my boy....handsome chap ay?

He is 8 now.

In the pic he isnt hogged and he has a little bit of feather.

He's a lovely boy. He will be OK in ridden cob classes as he's under 15.1.

We dont normally do ridden cob classes but my daughter did show one for a friend last year. The turnout is correct for cob classes although the tail looks a bit long. Dont know if this helps
