Home made hoof stand......

Made a homemade hoof stand the other day as I'm doing a little rasping and thought it might be easier than holding his hoof, so I brought a car axel stand for £5 put a bit of foam on the top and a bit of wood on the bottom to hold it with your foot so it doesn't move whilst trimming and there you have it. And to think my friend brought one for a few hundred pounds

Mayo is as good as gold with it aswell

Excellent suggestion Mayo!

I have a "stand" out of an old washing machine convieniently under the main barrel is a sturdy three legged stand with a square top. Cost me not a thing, don't know if old UK ones would have the same thing inside.. but just thought I would add it to the thread

I got the local welder to make me one for £20.

i really like the axel stand idea, i think ill have a go and make myself one

Do, they are really good. bit low so I just hammered a bit of wood to the bottom of it and I find it better than my friend £300 one £20, well thats a very good price
