i use the RAC based scheme with Equestrian Support Services - it isn't that expensive and when I did need them to come out as i got stranded with the trailer and donkey when the car wouldn't start and RAC couldn't get it to go and had to tow it home, the support services came to take the trailer home very fast.
I think it covers horseboxes as well and if you are stranded they will organise accommodation for the horse overnight as well.
I agree Equestrian Support Service are great. They work with the RAC but you dont have to be a member. I was with Green Flag and they still gave me cover, about £39 a year for a trailer and horses.
I've only called them out once but they were very fast and efficient.
Hi - I've used AE and their roadside rescue for several years now and absolutely no complaints. I've never had to claim on my policy but did use the rescue a couple of times quite close together and they came out really quick. They use local garage services so coverage should be good where ever you are
I also use A&E insurance company i had to be rescued from the side of the road, they were quick and also took me to my chosen desination which was 3hrs away with no probs atall. Very helpful and reliable.
