Roxy made me laugh last night - sometimes a horse's quirkiness will take me by surprise!
I was leading her back to her field down a track which, due to some recent rain, has some big puddles & lumps of mud. Unfortunately my boots have cracked & they let water in (but they're so comfy I'm loathed to let them go!) so I walked up along the narrow verge, squished up against the fence line balancing one foot in front of the other.
I let the length of the rope out so I was holding the end, meaning Roxy could stomp her way through the mud & puddles while I teetered on the verge. Bearing in mind she's a decent sized Gypsy Cob type breed - heavy & hairy as you like.....
Part way along I hear no splashing so I turn around, only to see her right behind me, teetering herself on the narrow grass embankment, her own dinner plate sized hooves carefully placed one behind the other!
Honestly, I laughed my head off! The look on her face was "well you don't want to get your feet wet - neither do I!" :bounce:
