How do you manage a baby plus a horse?

I've got two ages 1 and 3 and it works well because the horse/s is at home and my hubby is very supportive as he sees it as my unwind time. It does get difficult in the winter though when the mud is to thick for the kids or its blowing a gale as I have no light s in the stable so have to run backwards and forwards at breakfast and dinner time. My OH is a farmer so hes about most of the time. I have to say though they are much harder when the child is about 12-15mths and get bored int he pushchair and you have to be prepared to have to bath them everytime you get back from the stables cause they will find every puddle and the sloppiest mud to play in. Riding time over the winter is the biggest problem. But we manage

I have a 7 month old, a 2 year old and a 6 year old, until very recently I had three horses but having loaned 2 out now have just 1 and a sharer, she helsp me loads and it takes the pressure off me when it comes to Storm.

DH would be happy for me to ride or be at the yard every eveing but as I work as well I feel guilty at not seeing the kids.

Having a sharer works for me as I know Storm is getting plenty of TLC ad excercise and I get to spend time with my children without feeling guilty.

I have an 11 year old and a 6 year old and neither are really interested in the horses. Im lucky though my mum lives close by so she picks them up from school and gives them their tea.I work part time so i go up to the horses straight from work monday to wednesday the other 2 days my friends who i share with sort the horses out.At weekends my oh will look after the kids while im riding or sorting the horses out, i normally go up in the morning so i have the rest of the day at home with the family.Theres 3 of us that share and we are very good friends and all have kids so we help each other out if anyone cant get out to their horse for any reason.:)

Ah but that's when they enjoy it the most!!!
