Gracie and I went out for an hour and I bumped into luffly YM mate as I was about to turn G out who said "Coming out for a hack?" I explained that we were done and dusted so she offered me her mare (she herself was going to ride her mum's boy whilst her mum recovers from a small knee op) Her mare is a 10yo 15hh Knabstrupper and I have always been in awe of her/felt unworthy (plus I am not hugely confident on horses other than my own.... and even then that's debatable!!! 
)
Nevertheless, today I found my brave pants so I said yes this time. The imaginatively-named Dottie behaved perfectly and we had a couple of wonderful long canters through some local woods. It really was like riding a rocking horse and has really inspired me to crack on with G and her schooling.
Both the horses behaved impeccably and I had a great time. Wonder if I will ache tomorrow?
