Hi

I am trying to find out the best size for stables. I was thinking of about 3m x 3m for most of the stables and two larger ones, one for Frits about 4m x 4m and another of the same size to be used as a foaling stable.

I am currently looking at barns in kit form and need to have a rough idea about sizes so that I can place an order.

thanks for the help

I'm currently at the same stage in building my stables. Ideally I want 4x4.5m I figured if the horses are going to be in at any length of time due to weather etc I still want them do have ample room to move around and lie down. I have been told that a larger box will encouage a horse to get cast but I've seen horses get cast in small boxes as well so can't really understand the justifaction of that one but the bigger boxes will be more expensive.

Not sure in meters but I would say 12' x 12' is the normal, if you can go to
14' x 14' or bigger thats great, for foaling boxes we have 12' x 24' as the standard.
