Improving medium canter

My continental reins made by Kis Vihar are brilliant for the very small number of times when I want to school. They have stoppers and I know that for a proper contact I have to be on the very first stopper.

Sid prefers to be on the last stopper.

Update!

After our hack was cut short we went in the school. All I tried to remember was to sit up and shorten my reins! Funnily enough it worked! Left canter much easier. When I asked him to come back I made sure I was sitting up first.

Right is not so good. Collapsed twice but did it ok twice. I think when I shorten my reins he sometimes throws his head which I presume then has taught me to not take that contact so he dosnt throw his head. When actually when I just stay steady in my hand he accepts it.

Funnily enough the trot was better too!

Can’t wait for our lesson.
