Mine keep the same routine all year round :
Out at 5.30am and in any time between 9pm and 11pm.
They're in at night for my theft paranoia, to regulate their weight better through the summer, to give the winter paddock a break in winter and to let their feet dry out instead of spending 24/7 in water and mud.

mine are currently out 24/7 with a field shelter. At some point in the future Jasper will be going out with the other Yearlings and Jen will come in at night but that could be anytime between now and april!

Jen is rugged in a rainsheet just to keep her dry enough to ride Jasper is naked and has a lovely thick coat

ros is out 24/7. he has a stable with no door and straw bed so he can be cosy if he wants. when i got him, he'd been stabled overnight but hes had all summer out so far and he's alot more relaxed now than when i got him.
for me its a cost thing. its cheaper for me to share a field and have shelter etc than a livery yard. im roughly £60 a month where at yard i was £150 a month. would love to have him in at night but for now he seems happy so thats us at moment :D

I have just moved onto a great livery yard, shes out thru the day weather permitting if not school to be turned out so shes out and in at night, dont think her or me can cope with her being out at nights she likes her stable I am afraid and I feel better also

Inca is out 24/7 all year round. She's 2.5yrs old Welsh x Trad (mainly Welsh) so gets nice and fluffy! She roughed it most of last year but needed rugging as it was so so cold toward the end of the winter but this year is rugged most of the time in just a lightweight rug to keep the wet off her, have alternated with a middleweight over these past few days as we've had the most horrific rain.

Well for the past few nights my two have been in at night due to torrential storm conditions  but tonight, it's really mild and has been all day so have rugged them both up and are out tonight with hay!

We're having part of another field next week too, which means more grass to play with yay!
But generally when it comes to PROPER winter they'll be in at night and out in the day :)

Im not completely heartless - I did take their grazing muzzles off yesterday (but only because I have split the field in half)
I take it back - I am completely heartless and after 4 days the muzzles have gone back on as poo is runny and I had to loosen the girth a hole and thats just in 4 days. When is frosty EVERY day I'll try again. No rug either even in all that rain! She was fine - the rugged horses were all huddled up together and Rosie and Cassie just acted like nothing was happening and kept on munching :D

Both of mine live out 24/7 with access to a field shelter that they can fit in together and their stable doors latched open so they can go in if they wish. They are both wearing lightweight rugs and getting hay.

I would love the thought of them being cosy in stables but they seem to prefer standing in the mud and rain. However the mare in particular will frequently go in her stable to pee :D

YO is getting them out as much as possible for as long as possible during the day. Unfornately Tyler prefers his stable and stands looking miserbale at the gate lol.

He doesnt appreciate exercise
