Jumpy fun

Yesterday Jess and I went to a local spot in the forest to pop some logs, it's about a mile and a half from home and is just a bit of a clearing in the forest, with a big dip (from an old marl pit) and lots of downed trees that have been left for us to play with Not any decent pics as she was very keen they are only little logs 40-70cm ish, but given she's never really been jumped apart from the odd log out in the forest, she did really well and seemed to enjoy it We jumped half a dozen different ones and did about 3 laps, did avoid the bounce ones though as she's never had to do that.


Then on the way home I realized we had a tack malfunction, Jess hadn't mentioned it, I just glanced down to check we still had both hoof boots.

Yep, it had completely twisted, the loops for the girth were against her skin I used this sleeve for years no problem but it's moved the last 3 times I've used it, I might have to go back to one that's wool right around the girth. This is what it should have looked like;

That is funnily enough in the same place, last time I went there to play in 2014! It didn't move that day.

Oh I'm jealous! Looks such fun! Used to pop logs all the time with Ramsey and felt so safe - he was such a little gent. I was told Hogan loves jumping, but that seems a lifetime ahead, from where we are now. Oh well, onwards and upwards ......

She is, if I had left it there would likely have been a big girth gall to deal with, but she rarely ever complains about things, even if they are hurting her
