Hello

im on here alot today!! and im at work!!! LOL:D

My posha[2yo] has clicking joints, in her vet check before purchase my vet says it is nothing to worry about and will sort itself out with exercise and growth, Posha had her feet trimmed last thursday, and from yesterday morning one of her forelegs are lame, and she is clicking a little more than normal, when i bring her in at night she is fine, she is in stable at night then out grazing for about 8 hours a day, and this morning i stretched her legs and then she had a good stretch and did it like a dog does with her bum in the air and head down!!! really cute:) she isnt showing signs of discomort and there is no swelling or heat and is lifting her feet as normal for cleaning.
I dont feel i need the vet out, just wondered what you guys think, and im moving yards this weekend!!! yey, it could be the YO saying it to make me panic and not move her, as they turn her out for me in the mornings

I'm not too good at health issues with horses or with horses so young but if she's stabled over night then lame in the morning i'd imagine that she's getting stiff and sore over night being stabled? If it is bad or continues then it could benefit you and the mare more to get the vet out for a quick look. How did she go with the move?
p.s i doubt a yard would say a horse was lame just to stop you moving them, that really would be going a bit too far and would be very cruel of them if they had said it because of that.

I don't know if this is relevant but my horse's hind legs click occasionally because of his stifle locking, and I find that in the winter when he's stabled overnight and also when it gets cold that he click more and gets a little stiffer, but I found this decreases with a gentle warm up when working.

Is it just in the morning that maybe she hops out the stable a bit or have you trotted her up later at all? If she's lame when trotted up and there no obvious reason why then I'd suggest getting the vet out. If it's just a little hop in the morning from stiffness of standing then maybe there's a way she could stay out in a space where she can move but not have grass?

Good luck x
