I had a group ride Sunday and then a nice hack down to the river on Tuesday and on both I nearly came a cropper
On Sunday the route we took crossed over a previous event route several times, they had used blue spray to mark their route with arrows, the first 6 or so were fine but after a trot where Jess' was arguing about trotting steadily enough so the others could keep up, we met the horse eating arrow. She spooked sideways full pelt and I thought I was a goner. I was just thinking about grabbing a hunk of mane in the hopes of making my feet hit the ground first, but by some miracle I managed to get my weight back over her and not fall off
I've never known the ground this hard here, we had to keep it pretty steady.
