It's great that your thinking of taking the next step, but i agree that you should make sure you have as much experience that you gain from your current situation before you move up.
One other kind of livery is Working livery.
This is where you pay to keep your horse at a yard (probably a riding school) and you pay slightly less than full livery and the yard can use your horse for lessons.
This is a great option for new owners/sharers because it takes the responsibility of making sure the horse gets enough excercise of your shoulders.
