I've started maternity leave and I'm so bored already. I have massive trouble with my pelvis so can't really go out and do anything (walking for more than 10 mins leaves me in agony - i HATE feeling incapacitated). I'm just about able to do ponies in the evenings (already freaking out over when I go to hospital, I'm such a control freak, Angel has 'special needs' which yard don't always fully 'get'), hospital/midwife appointments and pregnancy yoga classes (which I am really enjoying! and i'm really not a 'yoga person' and probably terrible at it!).

BAby due in two weeks, still haven't got everything ready, 'nesting instinct' hasn't kicked in yet either  I'm getting impatient though and really want to meet the little chap now!

anyone else stuck at home immobilised?

Im not stuck at home immobilised, but stuck at home working - does that count?! i am bored too haha

don't worry, he will soon be here, it all goes so quickly, it already seems like a lifetime ago that Sophie was a newborn, she's 9 months old today!

Have you got any jigsaws? they are always a good time passer!

Have you chosen a name yet?

edited to add an xmas piccie of Sophie to cheer you up!

Would it make you feel better if you typed out a sheet of Angels requirements for the yard? Could you place it in a clear plastic folder and stick it somewhere they can't miss?

Amen to that haha!

sophie was pretty good sleeping at night after a few weeks, but wow what a regression when she started teething at 7.5 months! though last night we had just one wake up at 5 so i feel great today haha!

I remember exactly how you feel. I was stuck at home for 6 weeks before my second child came along and in between shuffling around and eating cake, I read about 10 books. I gave up looking at endless “Any News Yet?” texts. Honestly, did my friends and family really think that I would have given birth and not told them about it?

Just think though, in a few short weeks your life will change forever. Having a baby is the most amazing thing in the world. All the misery, pain and uncomfortable feelings you have now will fade away the second you meet your baby for the first time.

I never got that ‘nesting’ instinct either. I could barely stand up yet alone run around the house cleaning!

I went off early before my 2nd baby was born and loved it! But I was still mobile, if a bit rotund and sweaty. I'd read as much as you can now, and just enjoy the peace and quiet, because it's a good few years before you'll get that again! ;) My daughter is 2 and a half and STILL wakes up 3 or 4 times a night - and when she sleeps, she snores worse than my husband! I am a light sleeper and much as I love her, I am EXHAUSTED!
