HI folks,

I am just back after a week in Northern ireland, doing a three day stint at Irelands Animals, a simiilar thing to the Equine Event, only covering other animals as well. There was lots of interest, and quite a few vistors took the New Rider cards that Mike gave me to take, so who knows we may get some more members too.

I am going to have to curtail my Internet activities for the next few weeks, as I have to edit the two videos that we shot in September and October. Editing is one of the most boring jobs I know, and takes many hours. I shall probably have to order square contact lenses next time I visit my optician!

I then have to script it all and do the final edit and the voiceover in the studios in January. Several people have said to me 'Why don't you get the film company to edit it all?. Now, can you imagine the results! Neither the cameraman, sound man or the director know the slightest thing about horses!

So, it is all down to me, and I hope that it all turns out OK, particularly as Feedmark, my agents, have sponsored them!

All the best,

Heather

Best of luck with the videos; let us know as soon as they're available. Lord knows your book and the advice you've given on this site have helped me to a great extent!! :)

Thanks a bundle for sharing your knowledge!

Ditto to what Claudia said! And don't forget to find a little bit of time to ride!
Best wishes to you and Happy Holidays from the USofA!!!

Heather - your poor thing. I think a VT edit is slightly less interesting than watching paint dry...but I'm sure the final product will be really great. Have a great christmas and (I trust) some REST!

hello!

No need to panic htat Heather won't be here everyone (though we will miss you while you are sorting out your tapes). Heathers series in Your Horse mag starts in the January issue which will be out in the middle of decemberish so we can use that to help us through Christmas (I hope it explains how to roast the goose too!).

Seriously now, good luck with the video editting Heather, let us know when we can buy one!

bye!

Just dropping in folks! Am ordering square contact lenses next time I edit a video! It is the most boring job, and I shall be so sick of them that i will never want to see them again once they are released hopefully in February.

The Your Horse series is not being written by me, but by Lesley Bayley the Editor who is now a pupil of mine. Have had the first two articles in and she has doen a great job so far.

All the best,

Heather
