MINTS Why do horses love them so much?

My horses and ponies go mad for them ,eyes pop out,practically push me over trying to get in my pockets.Do you think its like macdonalds to children?

Mine hates them. She hates any human treats apart from museli bars so long as there isn't too much sugar in them.

And it isnt just horses - I used to have a labrador who loved extra strong mints too!

Would be interesting to find out why they like them though!

Someone made the mistake of whipping out a packet of Oddfellows at a show once and gave one to Tally. He hounded everyone by standing and huffing in their ears until they spat them out and fed them to him

The judge at the dressage on Sunday gave Brooklyn a polo while I was talking to him...she nearly took his arm off. God knows what "assaulting the judge" does to one's collective marks !

She loves mints, and prefers extra-strong mints to polos.
