Thank you, she loves it, but cant get the hang of the RT, she has been going for 8 weeks now, so she will get there, just waiting on the rising trot one uploading and will post that and you can all maybe give me tips lol.
she will get the hang of it, some peop;le take longer than others,,I took awhile to get the hang of it too..does the RI help her much-
its a lovley pic , she looks happy!
She is going to find RT very, very difficult the way she is sitting as her foot is so far in front of her point of balance she is going to be doing 10 times more work just to rise above it.
To help her she needs her stirrups about 3 holes longer and her leg back and underneath her.
Had a sneaky look of her trotting, she is getting left far behind the movement and needs to catch the horse up a bit.
By letting the stirrups dow a hole or two, and getting her to come forwards a tiny bit, not lean right forwards, just bring her shoulders forward this is going to help her.
i did think the stirrups were too short but then a some of the people i've ridden with have their stirrups really short because they feel more secure like that, i'm sure that actually makes it worse but sitting trot might help her stretch her legs so she'll feel a little better with longer stirrups?
Thanks guys, Wally thank you, no the RI does not help her out, its actually her 7th lesson not 8th, but she gets told to bend her knees and thats all, heres clip i cant get the best RT upload, its failing all the time.
Hello you was wandering where you were!
Our pc running slow but yes wally right !the wee ones legs are very high and it could get very uncomfortable for her.Sure when foot out Irons and hanging
Iron should be at ankle level...
Shes doing well though.....
Thanks AL, i have a better one of her i can watch it but it wont upload to photobucket keeps sayng error.
Saw you driving into your street this afternoon in your horse lorry, we were 4 cars behind you lol.
her hands are coming up high too which is going to take her centre of gravity up higher too and make life harder for her.
Everyone progresses at different speeds, but there are lots of ways she could have been taught to try to get her going. The saddle isn't her best friend. It looks to be shoving her seat back and her leg forwards.

fingers crossed............
Strange I was having trouble with photo bucket as well i just thought that it was me as useless ,at things like that...
let us know if you get things sorted out cant wait to see vidio..,
To me it looks like if the stirrups were longer she'd have less trouble rising. Its not easy to be going up and down from that position (like sitting on a chair and trying to go out and down without touching anything). The movement of the horse/pony is supposed to help propel you up but if you are in the armchair position then you'll just feel like your bouncing along and unless you have muscles of steel its going to be difficult to rise. I think the short length of the stirrups is also making her legs swing about a bit which again won't make it easy for her to rise. ??? I'm not sure though - its my opinion and i'm not the best person to judge someone elses riding!
Cant upload the one i wanted to, its too big nevermind thank you guys thats great info, if i take her back will mention to the RI if she is having bother, or i may take her elsewhere, poor wee lass, she came home hapy but then moaned she cant do it, and thats not her usual horse the one she normally rides is the bigger brown one.
I'd agree with most others have said on this. She does look like the stirrups need lowering a few holes. Not sure who else said it but it looks like shes almost in a sitting position which makes it harder to rise because of the angle of her legs. So definately mention it to the RI next time. Think your daughter will find it so much easier to do rising trot as soon as the stirrups have been lengthened.
