Well, it's been an odd couple of years. At last though I think I see a chink of light at the end of, what at times has been a very dark and difficult tunnel. I have a moving date, I have had the offer on my new house accepted . Just need to keep everything crossed it all goes according to plan. It will be great to have the horses at my back door again. They've been at livery the hacking is amazing where they are , you can ride 100s of miles all on forest tracks. Though where we are going it's similar, but on high moorland.
So fingers crossed the sale goes through without a hitch

Thanks guys, it's been very stressful. The house sale in Aberdeen fell through the first time. Really looking forward to having the horses home though.

Turdy Curses!! the date has had to go back a week as there's been problems with the water samples. The house is on it's own well water and samples have to be taken pre purchase to make sure it's all OK. They think it's just a simple change of filter and UV light needed. But we can't go ahead until the samples are within safe parameters.

Hopefully all will be well. We had untreated water at our old place in Yorkshire - full of sheep sh*t etc. Always failed the council tests. We had a filter and UV light and it kept it quite safe to drink and use. You need to be particular about changing the filters, especially after heavy rain. That's likely to be all it is. If the filter blocks up then the particles don't get taken out properly and the UV light can't clean the water 100%.

Good luck and fingers crossed...

We had frogs stuck in ours at the source. Poor things, but it failed - and we had to pay to have a mahoosive fancy thing installed. We were in the middle of moving house too, so I never did see the end result.

I've seen this before. My neighbor in Shetland had their own supply and the man from the water board told them it was not safe to drink, and they must boil it. So she said " I hear de boy" and carried on the same as they had been for the last 50 years. Quite a few times it failed before they were given the all clear....not once did the water get booked save for tea.

I have drunk from many a tap that was not for human drinking over the years and I'm still here. I often think all this "safe" practice with food, water and the like is half the reason there are as many sickly children and adults these days. It never used to be as bad im sure. Fingers crossed you can move forwards soon though.
