Need more practice

Hey! I'm not against group lessons....as long as they are not too big they are a brilliant way to learn of other riders mistakes as well as your own!!:D

I like group lessons as long as they are not more than 5 or 6, I like 2, I am in a group of 2 at the moment, me and muzzy! You get more time to do things, rather than waiting an age and only getting to canter about twice, you get to canter 5 times! (exageration, hmm maybe not!) :D

Thats why I love privates! Todays I was cantering most of the lesson. They were very long bouts of it too so I felt so much better at teh end. It's not possible in groups to do that because all the horses have different speeds. Also, I can ask Nina to concetrate on certain areas.

Just thought I would let you know that I've got in touch with an animal santuary near me which specialises in looking after horses, ponies & donkies. I'm going to do a few horses a week volunteering for them and although I may not be able to ride the horses initially, I'll learn loads about looking after them so at least I'll not have to wait from one week to the next before I'm doing something horsey again !
