hopefully they will keep him in line for a while
Buddy is our boss horse, I watched him last week when the farrier had come. everyone was on the yard to be done. They all wanted out. I let the fat club comtois go out with the rest instead of their own field, so everyone wanted to charge up the hill. Buddy was in front. He blocked them all from passing him on the fenced bit which is narrow, just turned around ears back bum to them. No one dared, all the way up the hill he led and they were kept behind him. when they got to the field he graciously let them go and gallop around, but there was no doubt who was in charge. He has less success with donkeys who just ignore him.
