On an island
Fuzzy had a random nosebleed this morning, it wasn't really bad, but I was wondering what had caused it. She's in good health overall (vet only saw her on Friday just gone) and so far as I know she hadn't been galloping (don't think she can gallop! LOL). I've not changed her hay or bedding (we use straw and the hay isn't overly dusty). Any thoughts? Obviously if it happens again I will be getting the vet or ringing for advice. She had her teeth checked on Friday too so can't think it's anything linked to them? I'm pretty sure it was actually coming from her passage and not a cut (she does rub on things). Pic here so you can see the amount.

First thought , maybe shes just knocked herself against the wall or if she went down nose first for a roll.
Has she been sneezing at all, or a ruiny nose.

That's a good point, she could have knocked herself, she can be a bit clumsy. She's not been sneezing or had a runny nose though.

Thanks all, am now thinking some kind of tough stalk. I don't know why I didnt consider that because she has been known to skin her face rubbing on stuff in the past - she loves a good scratch on the side of the brickwork. It just looked like it was coming from further up her nasal passage, but it definitely could have been a stalk that had gotten part way up and scratched her. I'm guessing that part of their skin is fairly thin compared to the rest.
