My pony is going on trial with view to buy for a week or so, do I give the potential new owners his passport or do i wait until he has been bought? I know its not prove of ownership but it does feel like it!
I would personally recommend not giving them the passport until he has been brought.
We had one of ours on trial and did not have the passport, simply because we may of had off with the horse
They have no reason to have the passport until he has been brought.
I have section D on loan and have his passport i have signed loan agreement that has gone to WPCS stating that ihave him on loan and have his passport but wont be able to change ownership until present owner tells them different i was under the impression that passport had to go with horse but if trial only for week dont supose its worth it
I thought you had to have the passport on you when you travelled anywhere? The police around our area have started clamping down on passports and people are getting fined!! - Must get mine sorted!!
Police have no jurisdiction over passports, Nothing to do with them at all.
No you don't need to have the passport with you if you travel anywhere. If you are not selling or attending a show you don't need it, just moving the horse to another place for someone to try it doesn't need the passport.
If trading standards asked me for mine they'd get told in no uncertain terms to go away!...unless I was at a show.
