How do they come up sizeways? what sort of build horse do they tend to fit?

Harvey needs a new stable rug and I know the Amigo's fit him well but have seen a premier equine stable rug compatiable with their trio system at a good price and just wondering how their fit and quality compares?

Harvey fits Amigo really nicely and some Derby House Rugs and Shires arn't too bad either but really doesn't fit weatherbeeta rugs (they slide back)

Bought brand new one off ebay for £28 (including post and packaging) was a indoor rug, RhinoGold and it's fab

PE rugs are very good, they are very deep in the body and a generous fit.

I had the no-fill, the 40g and 70g Buster turnouts which were lovely rugs but have moved on to Bucas power lite turnouts because they cover a wide range of tempretures in one rug, are so wicking you can put them on a wet horse, reflect the sun (so no over heating if turns sunny midday) and best of all they come in a big neck version which is perfect for extra extra chunky ponies like Arns and now Basil.

I have hreard that they are very good and really deep so good for wide chested horses.
I ordered one for Caymen but then got an email saying they were out of stock. GRRRR
Not many suppliers of PE

I've had two premier equine and love them. They are 1200d and seem very resistant to being torn by horsey pals too... I've had good weatherbeetas too, but PE are tops!

Excellent rugs that seem to fit a huge range of shapes - on my yard we've had them on slight framed TBs, rangy TBs, cobxTBs, chunky cobs & my very substantial ID & they somehow seem to fit them all! On the slight framed TBs they can be a little deep in the body but that doesn't cause any problems, on Jim I would like a deeper neck cover & a little bit more in the chest but he has a huge front & they're one of the best fitting rugs I've ever found for him.

Well worth the money, my turnouts are still going strong after years of wear.

All Izzy's rugs are PE except one Amigo. They fit really nicely, deep and are good across the chest. If Amigo rugs fit Harvey well, you should be fine with the PE ones. I have the same size for both.

I wouldn't buy anything else now although I wish I had bought the under rug system thing as I think that is the best deal and means you have less rugs to wash and reproof.

Thanks everyone - well news is ---his PE rug came yesterday and............

it is lovely!

It does come up a bit bigger then his amigo and at first look it looked a little like a dress on him but he seems to like it well enough and at least he's well covered!

The more i see it on him the more i like it though.

It is the 100gram stable rug that you can use the trio attachments with. It's the 2010 model as i got it in their sale items list so it was a bargain at about £40 i think which included the hood.

Pics to follow in a sec

Oh and it's quite funny that when he's grumpy and puts his ears back they slide under the neck cover to keep warm !!

They are fab rugs, one of the only ones i use now, but then i am a bit biased as they`re very local to me lol. I've never had any complaints about them either, they fit a wide range of different body types. I love those photo`s of him, he looks snug as a bug

yes, I am very (and surprisingly as I have always chosed amigo's for him and been happy with them) pleased. I was going to get the bravo 12 turnout with the liner system but might opt for the premier equine similar turnout one now though as I do think they are a bit better quality and I like the clips at the front.

Don't suppose if you are local you could suggest to them to start making smaller sizes too! (Harvey is in the smallest available at 5ft 6 but my other pony is only in 5ft rugs

The clips at the front are a godsend with cold fingers, and i love the liner system, easy to change and the liners wash really well too. I`ve also got the Sweet Itch style rug for summer too, that stood up to some serious abuse by Coby last year and survived really well, a quick wash and you`d hardly know it had been worn !!! I`m just trying to talk them into doing proper pony sizes too  lolol

lol, well you can put me down as 'would buy smaller sizes too!' I was thinking about getting their long fly mask as well as harvey suffers with pollen allergies. What material is their fly rugs like? I need to find Harvey one that is a very closed mesh so pollen can't get through. He just has a normal derby house one at the moment. .....I was also looking at their sports boots - not that i need any really!

Their fly rug is kind of a tight softish mesh, and again it stood up well to the Coby test, but the SI rug is really, really good, as it is a woven heavy (but not heavy lol) material ... I have sports boot too (but got given the to try) they fit lovely.

With having wee Doodle bug, smaller pony sizes would be a godsend
