Pretty chuffed with my DIY job!

Now he’s got a box rather than just being grass livery, I thought Flash needed a stable name plaque. Looked at the sort I wanted, thought “I’m not paying THAT.”

So bought myself the kit to make one... and you know what? I’m pretty chuffed with the results actually! Lettering is a bit wonky, but frankly, I’ll take it.

Just need to drill holes and then varnish it. And then, put it up above his door!

Just put the final coat of varnish on it.

Thats excellent! I did paint some back in the day and they are still on the stable doors- can hardly bring myself to look at Solly's one or remove it even 6 years later - I will take a pic tomorrow and then at long last take it down

Oh, that would make me so sad too. Keep it somewhere safe and treasure it. One of my friends has a Solly. He’s a lovely boy- needed to be sedated for clipping though- he was snoring louder than the clippers and had to have two of us holding him up so he didn’t fall over!
