Hmm, if he has passport surely his parentage would be recorded.
Im confused, I assumed all horse passports must have Dam and Sire and their parents granddam/sire bloodlines, etc.
Or is this for sport horses, competition, TB, that require parentage history.
My 2yrs gelding sire is not a fully approved stallion but is registered by the Irish horse board because his grandsire is Clover Hill, so his passport is blue but his 'family' bloodline are in passport.
My mare (2yrs old dam) is green passport cos her sire is fully approved by the IHB.
My filly will be green passport cos her sire is a registered approved TB on IHB studbook.
Gosh i just read myself, Hope it makes sense.
I hope you have not been fooled, I just find it very strange the the previous owner never register the foal and why not.

Or is it a different system, like no complupory to register foals like here in Ireland by the IHB?
