Question about posting Trot?

Hello everyone! So recently I've had some issues with my posting trot. My trainer says I'm posting too fast and need to slow my posts down, but I can't seem to get them to go much slower. Do you guys have any tips about getting you posts slower? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can you clarify what the issue is - are you rising too early, too high?

Generally you use the rate of rise to control the speed of the trot so rising early will speed the horse up and rising late will slow the horse down - if that is what your trainer is asking - ie slow your rise to slow the horse then try using a half halt before you rise which should warn the horse you want it to slow and then you stand a better chance of staying in sync with the trot.
