:running: Its an exciting time for those of us including myself that have longed for a Horse riding simulator in berkshire. I have dreamed of visiting heather moffet for years, but can never seem to get there (to far away from me), so i have booked to do a lesson on a simulator in berkshire, im not sure if im allowed to say on here where it is, so PM me for info.
Its the racewood dressage simulator, it can still teach beginers, but has the capabilities of replicating complicated dressage moves as well !!! so i'll be off there soon to practice my piaffe and flying changes :-)

I've had a go on the Heather Moffett ones and a Racewood one.

Both very different and good in their own ways. I would say the trot on the Heather Moffett is better, but it is a bit strange as it has no head/neck. The Racewood ones have a head and neck which is a little less strange and they 'canter'!

I'm not sure if the one I 'rode' was able to do piaffe, but it reacted to the leg and rein aids.

Be warned, your legs and hips will probably be knackered afterwards! You don't need to stop and give the horse a break!!! LOL!!!!!

Hope you have a good time!

Have you seen the price for it though!

One of my fellow EE teachers got an advertising email for it. Hire for an outside instructor is 60 quid an hour! We are hoping to be able to test ride it (for a reduced rate or free) to see if it is worth that amount of money. The only real advantage I can see on this particular model is the weight sensors that show on the screen. I currently use an older model racewood in Surrey that I can hire for half the price.

There is a HM equisimulator in the New Forest, it is a sprung one so trots and canters.

Tutu, do let us know how you get on!
